#TOOHUMAN

#toohuman is part of the #IORESTOACASA series, two stories which were drawn while stranded in a foreign country, due to the closing of the borders, in confinement, measures taken globally to stop the spread of the coronavirus since March 2020.

#toohuman
A prologue.
The story before the story or how did the body of H.I.I.T. decided to go on this never-ending ‘identity training’.
Drawn in confinement, while working with constraints for my upcoming solo creation, H.I.I.T. | High-Intensity Identity Training.
In order to regain agency.
Agency of space.
Of time.
Of the body.

#TOOHUMANwhat does human feel like?

"We are experiencing a moment of crisis. A moment of illusion, where time seems to stand still. But it can also be a time of revelation: how self-consuming can it be, aiming for the future, thinking there is time, planning ahead. Don't get me wrong, it can be also a good thing, as long as we don't let the present pass us by, as long as we don't miss out on opportunities that can't be measured with results. A chance to touch, to express emotions, to be truthful, respectful, responsible to oneself and to others. A chance to gain agency of oneself, not only by showing strength, but also vulnerability and care, away from individual arrogance.

I need to re-learn in distance now, how it feels to be human. And if this is too big of an aspiration, how it feels to be just...me".
